Modeling & Simulation

Our experience in this area includes performing analysis using a wide array of tools for a very diverse group of clients. The following are just some of our capabilities in Modeling and Simulation. If you have a specific task where you need assistance in this field, please contact us.

We have successfully employed ADAMS to model the impact of a small boat launch and recovery system on a large ship while underway. ADAMS is an interactive motion simulation software tool for modeling mechanical events. Once a model is developed within ADAMS, the software then runs simultaneous equations for kinematic, static, quasi-static and dynamic simulations. The results of the model can be viewed graphically, as data plots, reports or color animations.

For the Defense Threat Reduction Agency we were able to use IMEA (Integrated Munitions Effects Assessment) to model hardened and deeply buried targets. IMEA uses physics-based engineering models to predict weapon penetration, cratering, fragmentation and blast damage for buildings, bunkers and tunnels. Our experience includes not only using this software but also assisting in the software development of this tool.

We use Autodesk VIZ to provide our clients with 3D visualization of highly complex projects. Using this software we have been able to create compelling photorealistic visualizations that can help our clients present their work more easily. Creating a 3D model or a 3D animation that can demonstrate movement, validate your design and display a complex concept to a customer is an invaluable tool that we are able to deliver to our clients.

Although Modeling and Simulation is a very broad field, the concepts within it are fundamental and can be applied across all applications. Tridentis has proven to our clients that we can provide these services by applying the fundamentals of modeling and simulation on a variety of different projects.
