Senior Technical Lead (Bremerton)
Job Brief
As a rapidly growing small business, we are looking for experienced leaders, engineers, and designers who can provide quality deliverables and help grow our business. We are looking for a Senior Technical Lead with a background in structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering with extensive experience supporting Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) to join our growing team. If you also have excellent people skills, marine HM&E experience, exemplary work ethic, and an excellent understanding of PSNS, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
Serve as the main liaison between the company and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, ensuring strong client relationships and effective communication.
Lead and build a small, cross-functional engineering team, providing mentorship and direction to team members across multiple engineering disciplines.
Review and approve all engineering and technical deliverables.
Quality Assurance of all engineering deliverables.
Client facing.
Assist the Senior PM in business development and customer relations.
Develop drawings in AutoCAD.
Provide technical expertise in engineering disciplines, with an emphasis on structural engineering.
Expect 10% domestic and international travel.
Requirements
15 years of proven Marine Engineering with U.S. Navy, USCG, or MSC vessels.
8+ years of relevant engineering experience supporting the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
Proven history interfacing with the client.
Demonstrated experience in program and project management.
Existing knowledge and understanding of industry practices and requirements.
Must be technology-focused with a good background using and implementing technology into business processes.
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
Strong technical engineering background; structural preferred.
Experience: Puget Sound Naval Shipyard: 8 years (Required) Marine Engineering: 15 years (Required)
Security Clearance or ability to obtain a Clearance (Required)
